8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless — Bluetooth
Quick answer
Steps
- 1Note: the standard Ultimate 2 Wireless (Windows/Android edition) connects over 2.4G and USB-C, not Bluetooth.
- 2For wireless play, use the 2.4G dongle (see Pairing).
- 3If you own the Switch-compatible Ultimate 2 Wireless edition, set the Mode switch to BT, press Home, then hold Pair 3s and select the controller in your device's Bluetooth menu.
LED states

Be aware of which model you have. The Windows/Android Ultimate 2 Wireless is a 2.4G + wired controller and does not pair over Bluetooth — use the bundled dongle instead. A separate Switch-compatible Ultimate 2 Wireless edition does add Bluetooth (BT switch position) for Switch, Apple and Android; on that model, switch to BT, power on with Home, hold Pair, and pick it from the Bluetooth list.
FAQ
- Why isn't there a BT option on my controller?
- The plain Windows/Android edition is 2.4G + wired only. Bluetooth is on the Switch-compatible edition.
- Is 2.4G faster than Bluetooth?
- The 2.4G dongle offers a 1000Hz polling rate and lower latency, which is why it is the default for PC.
