Unlike the rear-switch Vader line, the Apex 4 chooses its mode on the color LCD: short-press FUNC to open the menu and select XInput, DInput, Switch, iOS or Flashplay. XInput is for games with native controller support, DInput for emulators/older titles, and Flashplay maps the pad to touch for mobile games that lack controller support.
FAQ
- What is Flashplay mode?
- It maps controller inputs to on-screen touch (key-mapping) for mobile games that don't natively support a gamepad.
- Do I need the dongle to change mode?
- No — the mode is chosen on the screen menu; the connection (2.4G/Bluetooth/wired) is selected separately.
